One of the key people in the club’s successful juvenile set-up, Nigel was awarded clubman of the year in 2015, largely for his relentless efforts to ensure that every single person in Ballyholland is kitted out in club gear, for every hour of every day.
A talented juvenile footballer himself, a serious illness forced football into a back seat during his teenage years, which never allowed him to fulfil his potential. He’s now one of those guys who is ensuring that this generation of youngsters get every chance to fulfil their own.
He’s also something of a football anorak. Ask him any question about Down teams from about 1980 onwards. He’s never wrong.
